At the recent Warley exhibition at the NEC members were asked to show the American layout Sutherland (formally Kansas). The layout was originally build by Bob Sutherland and Graham Elliott. Sadly Bob passed away before he could achieve his ambition to display his layout at Warley. The members agreed to honour the booking and display the layout in memory of Bob. The layout ran very well throughout the weekend and was well received with a number of good comments. The layout can next be seen at the Cambridge show in April 2018.

At WArley 'James Street' (by Steve Wright) was awarded best 'n' gauge layout. A private layout, but linked to the North Essex group who were helping to operate the layout. This is 'n' gauge on the grand scale and to the highest standards. The layout was featured in the 'n' gauge Journal 5/17 and has a photo gallery at James Street . The layout is due to appear at the Southwold show August 2018 and a must see.

The club continues to meet throughout the year working on group projects. If you are interested in visiting us or joining the group please contact Chris 01394 277211.
