15th March 2008           - Module Day

The first module day of 2008 (number 11) was again held in St Marys Church, Trimley St Mary.

For the first meeting of the year (earlier again this year to avoid Easter and other local railway events), we had a good turn out of some 5 single modules and one double, which combined with the return ends and fiddle yards stretched to some 42 feet.

With the dates for the years events only being confirmed at the start of the year adverting had been limited, but we did see a steady trickle of visitors during the day. However as the main object of these events is to allow members to combine / operate their modules the aim of the day was achieved.

On this occasion your scribe also took the opportunity to use the time to progress with some further tacklaying on a module started by a member who sadly died before completing it. So keen to get as much done as possible, I forgot to take a few photos for the website, so apologies there are no 'images of the day' for this event.
