26th November 2006           - Module Day

The latest in our series of module days (number 7) was again held in St Marys Church, Trimley St Mary.

For this event we saw the first appearance of a double module. this was courtesy of Graham Elliot, who some of you will know from his articles in the N gauge journal and a mixture of UK and American layouts that have appeared on the exhibition circuit. Graham has produced a model of a paper mill, which whilst still under construction the model includes a number of impressive scratch built buildings. The remainder of the overall layout was constructed form the usual selection of modules, some of which were sporting new / improved scenic features.

The open day again coincided with an event being held in the hall opposite the church by a group modelling early Hornby O and OO. This along with a plug on local radio and newspapers boosted our visitor numbers to the best we have yet seen.
