29th November 2008           - Module Day

As has become the norm with this module day it coincided with a meeting by the Hornby collectors club at the hall opposite the church. Once again there were exchange visits by members adding to the interest.

After the slight problem we had at the last time with the length of the layout we were ready to build a L shaped layout with a corner board, but in the end this was not required as we were a couple of modules down.

In additional to the modules Eddie brought along a controller (PWR with very slow running) and Trevor brought along a circular layout with automatic fiddle yards being developed for a small layout competition in the Ipswich Railway modellers Association (IRMA).

There were a few new models on show including the Manor from Ixion, 9Fs from Dapol and some of the new modern image rolling stock from Dapol & Bachmann.
