31st March 2007           - Module Day

The first module day of 2007 (number 8) was again held in St Marys Church, Trimley St Mary.

As per the last module we again saw a new module produced by one of the group members. This time it was the run of John Coulson. John has a produced a countryside module with a moorland feel. After a couple of small tweaks to help with track alignment, we soon had the module incorporated into the overall layout. The rest of the layout was made up of our usual collection of modules.

Due to a date change (brought forward to avoid Easter) and fairly low key advertising, visitor numbers were reduced over previous events. However, members enjoyed the day and some new models were having their first run, including a Dapol Voyager (which looked very impressive) and a Kato Amtrak set.

We also took advantage of the time to progress with work on a hands on layout being built for use at our forthcoming exhibition.
