EXHIBITION REPORTS & PHOTOS

BRESSINGHAM (1)
By Chris H
After an early-ish start we all arrived with good time to setup, as club members displayed the club modules and the privately owned Hadderton. Despite the sunny day it was a bit chilly in the hall as the wind whipped in on us, but it didnít affect the layouts and we had brought sufficient clothing. The modules had their usual tweaks to get them running smoothly and that worked well, but we had to deal with a noticeable incline from the racked floor which meant keeping a close eye on the uphill traffic. However, the further test of our new middle board for the fiddle yard proved a bit of a pain over the joins, jumping light stock and derailing on the branch line loops. So, some fine adjustments are needed there to get it running smoothly in future. We ran a mix of British eras from the big four up to current stock, including 26 coiled steel wagons with two class 66ís pulling it around. Plus, we had a good visit from Thomas and friends, which was good for our younger viewers who stuck around for a while watching them run around. The only other N gauge beyond ours was Branksdowne Junction, a great layout in modern image with overhead lines and a lot of nice details.

BRESSINGHAM(2) By Mike S
We took Hadderton to Bressingham on the 1st September. The previous week had seen it set up in my garage where some remedial work and a good clean took place, as it hadnít been out since the Warley show last November. Consequently, I am pleased to report that everything ran well with plenty of interest from the public. We also took the opportunity to avail ourselves of the hospitality and attractions at Bressingham, with rides on their steam trains and the gallopers. Thanks to John, Alan and my son Chris who kindly assisted three aging modellers, combined years totalling around 230.
